Bio

Prof. Dr. Bao-Hang HAN (male, born in 967) is a professor at the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology (NCNST), Beijing, China. He obtained his degree of bachelor (1989), master (1992), and Ph.D. (1999) in science from Nankai University, Tianjin, China. From 2000 to 2005, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces, Germany, the Department of Chemistry, University of Ottawa, Canada, and the Department of Chemistry, University of Toronto, Canada. In late 2005, he joined the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology as a full professor. He is an adjunct professor at the East China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai, China since 2011. He is the coordinator of Chinese side of the NCNST-MPICI International Joint Laboratory on Nanostructured Carbon Materials for Energy Applications. He has published more than 80 papers in international peer-reviewed journals, such as J. Am. Chem. Soc., Small, Macromolecules, J. Org. Chem., Biomacromolecules, J. Phys. Chem., Langmuir, ACS Nano, Adv. Mater., Adv. Funct. Mater., Chem. Commun., J. Mater. Chem., Chem.-Eur. J., Carbon, which were peer-cited for more than 1600 times. He was awarded the second rank prize in scientific and technical progress from the Ministry of Education in 1996. His researches focus on the supramolecular nanomaterials, including porous organic polymers and their applications in energy and environmental fields, supramolecular surface modification of low-dimensional nanomaterials, and fluorescence-based sensors of conjugated oligomers and polymers.
