In this talk, I will summarize the recent research on the crystal phase-engineering of novel nanomaterials in my group. It includes the preparation of novel crystal phase of noble metal nanomaterials, such as hexagonal-close packed (hcp) Au nanosheets (AuSSs), 4H hexagonal phase Au nanoribbons (NRBs) and other 4H metal nanostructures, and the phase transformation of two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) nanomaterials. In addition, we start to investigate the crystal phase-based properties and catalysis applications. Importantly, the concept of crystal-phase heterostructure is proposed.
